Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sellibly HQ collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in connection with the platform and related services.

1. Who We Are

Sellibly HQ is a digital marketplace and transaction-coordination platform operated by Impact Brand E.A.R Service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our website, wallet features, protected transaction workflows, Selliarmy Vault deal rooms, messaging tools, AI features, and related services.

2. Personal Data We Collect

  • account and profile information, including email address, username, bio, avatar, and authentication data;
  • listing, transaction, and wallet information, including uploads, pricing, proofs, funding route details, exchange-rate snapshot data, and withdrawal requests;
  • communications and support data, including messages, invite records, dispute submissions, and customer service interactions;
  • technical and usage data, including IP address, browser, device, cookies, page views, and diagnostic logs;
  • AI interaction data, including prompts, listing text, instructions, and generated outputs where needed for service quality or abuse prevention.

3. How We Use Personal Data

  • to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and operate the platform;
  • to process wallet funding, protected transactions, payouts, withdrawals, and Selliarmy Vault workflows;
  • to send service notices, invite emails, transaction updates, security alerts, and support communications;
  • to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, suspicious activity, platform abuse, and policy violations;
  • to improve platform features, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and provide AI-assisted tools;
  • to comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal governance obligations.

4. Lawful Bases for Processing

Depending on the context, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, or where required, based on your consent.

5. Monitoring, Safety, and Fraud Prevention

We may monitor, log, store, review, and analyze listings, wallet activity, transaction proofs, invite flows, dispute evidence, and in-platform communications for fraud prevention, dispute handling, service security, compliance review, abuse detection, and operational troubleshooting.

6. Activity Records and Re-engagement Emails

We keep a record of the main actions you take on Sellibly, such as creating or editing a listing, making an offer, starting a chat, sending a message, and each stage of an escrow deal, with the time and whether you acted as a buyer or a seller. We also record when you view a listing, and that you searched along with the category you filtered by. We never record what you type into the search box or what your messages say.

We use these records to understand which features people use and whether they keep using Sellibly, and to notice when someone who used the platform regularly has stopped. Only our administrators can see them. They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not sent to any analytics company.

If you have turned on "Product updates" or "Nudges when I go quiet" in your notification settings, we may send you one email after a quiet spell, showing your own listings and open deals, or new listings in categories you looked at. We send it at most once every 14 days, never while you have an open dispute, and never after you unsubscribe. You can turn it off in your settings or with the unsubscribe link in any email.

These records are deleted when your account is deleted.

7. How We Share Personal Data

  • with service providers that help us operate hosting, authentication, analytics, notifications, AI, email delivery, and support workflows;
  • with transaction counterparties where necessary to perform platform workflows;
  • with banks, payment-related providers, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or advisers where required or reasonably necessary;
  • in connection with restructuring, financing, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

8. International Transfers and Retention

Your personal data may be processed or stored outside Nigeria. Where cross-border transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to apply safeguards required or appropriate under applicable law.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain transaction and wallet records, handle disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect platform integrity.

9. Your Rights

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion, restriction, or objection where applicable under law;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of marketing communications; and
  • submit a privacy complaint to us or to the relevant regulator where applicable.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also store a few settings in your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way. This section lists what we store and why.

  • Sign-in and security: cookies that keep you signed in and protect your account and payments. The platform cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off.
  • Referral attribution: if you arrive through an affiliate's referral link, we set a cookie that records which link referred you, for up to 90 days, so the affiliate can be credited if you buy.
  • Preferences: your display currency, theme, and choices such as dismissed notices and your cookie settings, kept in local storage.
  • Analytics: we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or store anything on your device.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense, described in section 11. Ads are requested only if you allow advertising cookies.

11. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google's AdSense code is included on every page, but it does not request or show ads until you allow advertising cookies in the cookie banner or in Cookie settings, which you can open from the footer of any page and change at any time.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this website and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you turn advertising cookies off after allowing them, we remove the ad cookies Google set on our domain. Cookies Google set on its own domains are managed through your Google account and browser settings.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children, External Services, and AI

The Services are not intended for users who are not legally permitted to use the platform. We may remove or restrict accounts that breach this requirement.

Sellibly may rely on third-party tools, infrastructure, and external platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services we do not control.

If you use AI features, your submitted content may be processed to generate outputs and may be stored for abuse prevention, audit, troubleshooting, and service quality purposes.
