How to Ask a Sellibly Admin to Join Your Deal Chat
Updated October 16, 2026
The short answer
Open the menu on your dashboard, tap Messages, open the conversation with the seller, and tap "Ask a Sellibly admin to join" under the message box. Enter the agreed price in the listing's currency and tap Request. Once the seller approves, an admin joins the same chat and oversees the handover with you both. It is a Pro feature: available when you or the seller is on Pro.
Watch it in 36 seconds
Before you start
- You have a conversation with the seller, started from their listing.
- You or the seller is on the Pro plan.
- You have agreed a price.
From your dashboard
1Open the menu and tap "Messages"
On your dashboard, tap the menu button at the top right, then Messages.

- 2
Open the conversation with the seller
Tap the conversation about the listing you are buying.

In the chat
3Tap "Ask a Sellibly admin to join"
The button is under the message box. It shows for the buyer while the conversation is open.

- 4
Enter the agreed price and tap "Request"
Type the price you agreed, in the listing's currency, and tap Request. You will see "Request sent. Waiting for the seller to approve."

After you ask
5Wait for the seller to approve
The seller sees your request in the same chat and approves it. You then get a notification and an email: "A Sellibly admin is joining your deal chat". The admin joins this chat, marked as Sellibly Admin, and oversees the handover. You do not need to join any outside group.
A real Sellibly admin only ever appears inside your Sellibly chat, with the Sellibly Admin badge. Anyone contacting you on WhatsApp or Telegram claiming to be a Sellibly admin is not one.
Common mistakes
- Looking for the button on a seller's side. It shows for the buyer.
- Agreeing to an "admin" in an outside WhatsApp group. Admins join inside the Sellibly chat.
Questions
Do I need Pro?
Either you or the seller needs to be on Pro. If you have reached your plan's limit, finish an open request first, or upgrade.
Is this the same as escrow?
No. Escrow holds the money. An admin in the chat oversees the handover itself. You can pay into escrow as usual.
